In about 1966 Lorne was managing the company as his father became involved in another family company, Score Sporting Goods which became SHIELDS SPORTSWEAR. Location at the time was a 2nd floor walk up with a pulley system elevator at 56 Jarvis St. In 1963 Lorne went to work for his dad full time. His dad, Harry Shields, started to import & distribute some bicycle parts and accessories from England and Germany. Lorne Shields ( was first introduced into the wholesale bicycle business at age 11 in 1954. Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale.
